The IDEM Federation (Identity Management for federated access) offers a set  of resources brought by Organizations, Universities and Research Centers in the community and whose offeris always updated.

Access to the resources

In order to access to the resources in the Federation first you need to search for the service (i.e. from the available services list on the official site: 

After selecting the desired service you should specify what Organization you belong to, which is “University of Udine”.

Next page shows the login form with

username: name.surname(at) (teachers and staff members)
username: <student_id> (students)

PAY ATTENTION PLEASE: from 3rd of August the service can be accessed using the username: 

  <student_id> (students)

password: the same used for your institutional email account.

If authentication is successful, next you should agree with the privacy policy and trasmit some personal data (name, surname, email and affiliation)


Privacy Policy

The University of Udine authentication service will send the following data to the service provider:

·A unique and anonymous identifier, for internal use, without personal informations

·The role of the user within his/her Organization (student, teacher, staff member, …)

·Specific attributes eventually requested by the service provider and usually they are: name, surname and email address.  

At first the user can stop sending these data to the service provider and so he/she will not access the resource.
